Delta Air Lines has upgraded its service from the US to Argentina, now using its next generation A330-900neo fleet, replacing the B767-400ER that previously served the route.
The A330-900neo aircraft is now being used on Delta flights between Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) to Ezeiza Airport (EZE) in Buenos Aires, and the seasonal New York John F Kennedy (JFK) to Buenos Aires service.
This makes Delta the first carrier to introduce the A330-900neo to Argentina.
The airline said the transition from the 767-400ER to the A330-900 on the Buenos Aires route boosts its capacity by approximately 20%.
Delta passengers have the option of four cabin classes in the A330-900neo: Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin.
“We are incredibly excited to introduce the Airbus A330-900neo to our operations in Argentina,” Agustín Durand, General Sales Manager for Delta in Argentina, Central America, and the Caribbean said in a statement.
“This aircraft is not only a symbol of our commitment to improving the customer experience, but it also strengthens our connectivity between Argentina and the United States. With the A330-900neo, we continue to provide our customers with world-class service and one of the most modern aircraft on the market,” Durand continued.
In addition to the aircraft upgrade, Delta has increased its capacity from Atlanta to Buenos Aires by approximately 40% for the winter 2024-2025 season.
In 2021, there were approximately 290,000 people of Argentine origin recorded to be living in the United States, making them the 14th-largest Hispanic population group in the US.
