Meeting a Loyalty Point goal every 4 months can allow users to continue AAdvantage status and move on to the next phase. Once all 3 goals are met, users can qualify for status for the remainder of the membership year.

How To Request The Status Match With The Likes Of Delta SkyMiles, United Mileage Plus, And Others
To request a status match, American Airlines will need a screenshot of the following from your SkyMiles account:
- First and last name with your SkyMiles overview, including status and status tracker, along with current membership card with the expiration date.
For United MileagePlus, a screenshot of your first and last name is needed, along with premier activity in previous year and premier activity year to date. A membership card with an expiration date is also required.

Other AAdvantage Status Match Terms And Conditions
Once registered, AAdvantage notes that a new member must earn at least 13,000 Loyalty Points in the first four months to continue the benefits with AAdvantage Gold.
The terms read, “Once registered, the member must earn at least 13,000 Loyalty Points in the first 4 months of the promotion to continue with AAdvantage Gold® benefits, 25,000 Loyalty Points to continue with AAdvantage Platinum® benefits, 42,000 to continue with AAdvantage Platinum Pro® benefits, or 67,000 Loyalty Points to continue with AAdvantage Executive Platinum® benefits.”
Other conditions apply, including certain omissions.
“Members who have registered for the Instant Status Pass™ promotion in the last 2 years are not eligible for this offer. Members who already hold the equivalent or higher AAdvantage® status are not eligible for status matching.”
AAdvantage Customer Service requires at least 4 weeks to review the customer submission.
