A new partnership between Paxport and Airxelerate is promising to provide airlines with a simplified way of retailing managed seat allocations.
By working together the distribution and IT specialists say they will be able to address often complex processes that make it hard for customers to search and book.
They claim the partnership will “address substantial issues with content fragmentation, removing complexity and importantly, driving new revenue streams for both airlines and travel sellers”.
Paxport is a leading aggregator of flight content, passenger management and digital payments, while Airxelerate’s IT manages allotments, pooling, and ancillaries, integrating between airline reservation systems and tour operator platforms.
They say the partnership will “simplify” and enable airlines and OTAs and tour operators to bring to market differentiated airline content through “seamless distribution”.
Simon Taylor, head of commercial at Paxport, said: “It’s clear that there’s a significant challenge with managing allotment-based flight content in the market.
“Airlines have a growing desire to deepen their relationships with key partners and together, grow airline seat sales.
“More often than not, connectivity is seen as the biggest barrier to developing these strategies.
“As a market leader in airline distribution, Paxport’s new strategic partnership with Airxelerate will act as the enabler for all parties to connect through providing a customer-driven solution that redefines industry standards.”
Paxport and Airxelerate believe connected technology will address traditional complexities of managing allotment-based content to make the selling of seats more efficient and improving the customer experience.
“This partnership will be a significant driving force in normalising complex airline distribution, removing manual and often error-prone processes, bringing to market the opportunity for travel sellers of all sizes and specialities to work more proactively and compete in a challenging marketplace,” the said.
Nina Sifi, chief executive at Airxelerate, said: “This partnership marks a transformative step forward in simplifying airline distribution.
“By combining Airxelerate’s advanced allotment and pooling capabilities with Paxport’s expertise in aggregated flight content, we’re addressing long-standing challenges in the industry.
“Together, we enable airlines and travel sellers to connect seamlessly, unlocking new revenue opportunities while enhancing the customer experience. This collaboration reaffirms our commitment to innovation and delivering solutions that redefine how airlines and travel companies work together in a competitive market.”
