Catching a flight anytime soon? Be sure to watch what you wear if you’re flying with Spirit Airlines, as they are updating their dress code policy for passengers.
The ultra-low air carrier has announced updated dress code guidelines for travelers.
In the new policy, passengers are prohibited from wearing see-through clothing that exposes breasts, buttocks, or other private parts, FOX Business reported. The new policy also prohibits passengers from bearing any offensive tattoos.
Those who do may be denied boarding or removed from flights.
Bare feet are also no longer permitted.
What they’re saying:
According to the airline, changes were prompted by repeated dress code violations that caused disruptions among other passengers.
The new policy officially took effect on Wednesday.
Two women were removed from their Spirit flight for wearing crop tops in October 2024, and last week, a Texas man was removed from his flight for wearing a hoodie deemed offensive.
While the man removed the hoodie, he was still removed from the plane.
FOX Business has reached out to Spirit for comment.
