KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Chiefs fans are scrambling to figure out travel plans to New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX.
The Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship to earn a trip to the game on Feb. 9. The Chiefs will face the Philadelphia Eagles.
Some fans plan to drive the 13 hours from Kansas City to New Orleans.
Others are looking for flights.
A spokesperson for KCI Airport shared on X that airlines would add additional flights between Kansas City and New Orleans. There is normally one nonstop flight between the cities a day.
United Airlines announced the addition of two roundtrip flights between Kansas City and New Orleans just minutes after the AFC Championship Game ended.

Southwest added seven additional flights from Kansas City to New Orleans Friday and two more on Saturday. They include one with the flight number WN3, as in threepeat.
Delta added one nonstop flight and American Airlines added two from Kansas City to New Orleans on Friday, Feb. 7. There is also a nonstop American Airlines flight added from KC to the Big Easy on Saturday, Feb. 8.
Information on any new flights for Super Bowl travel will be released as flight are added.
