Maldivian Airline, the national carrier of the Maldives, has launched direct flights to Shanghai, marking its third destination in China served by its new wide-body aircraft.
The first flight between Velana International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport landed today, where passengers were warmly welcomed upon arrival.
This milestone comes after Maldivian Airlines inaugurated direct flights to other cities in China earlier this month, starting with Chengdu on January 22 and Beijing on January 24.
The Shanghai route further enhances connectivity between the two nations.
Additionally, the new routes facilitate increased cargo transport from China to the Maldives, strengthening trade ties between the two countries.
With the launch of direct flights to Shanghai, Maldivian Airlines continues to bolster tourism and trade relations between the Maldives and China, supporting mutual economic growth and cooperation.
