A Southwest Airlines flight struck a bird and had to return to Tampa International Airport shortly after takeoff on Sunday, according to a SWA spokesperson.

Nobody on board was injured, and the plane landed safely.

“Southwest apologizes for any inconvenience to our customers, and we will accommodate them to their final destination of Philadelphia as soon as possible,” said the SWA spokesperson.

The plane will be evaluated before it returns to service.
