Virgin Atlantic and WestJet have announced an expanded codeshare agreement, enhancing travel connections between Canada, the UK, and key global regions, including India. This partnership will offer seamless connectivity, improving the travel experience for passengers flying between the two countries.

Key Benefits for Travelers

This partnership will make travel between Canada and the UK more convenient by:

  • Effortless Connections at Toronto Pearson (YYZ) – Both airlines will be co-located at Terminal 3, allowing for smoother transfers without the need to re-check baggage for eligible passengers.
  • Expanded Network Access – Customers booking through Virgin Atlantic can now travel on a single ticket from major Canadian cities, including Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Winnipeg, and Ottawa, via Toronto to London Heathrow (LHR).
  • Flight Availability – Tickets will be available for purchase starting February 17, 2025, with flights commencing March 30, 2025.
  • Loyalty Program Integration – Later in the year, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and WestJet Rewards will introduce benefits for frequent flyers.

Launching its first Canadian route in over a decade, Virgin Atlantic’s new Toronto-London route will provide enhanced connectivity for travelers heading to Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Dubai, the Maldives, Cape Town, and Johannesburg via London Heathrow.

To further support this growth, Stephen Goulding was appointed Virgin Atlantic’s Canada Country Manager in January 2025. With previous leadership experience at WestJet, he will play a key role in expanding Virgin Atlantic’s presence in Canada and strengthening the airline’s strategic growth.
