SHREVEPORT, La. — Of the nine scholar-athletes getting recognized by the McNaughton Chapter of the National Football Foundation, the winner of the KTBS/Johnny’s Pizza Griffin’s Game Ball Scholar Athlete Award is Airline’s Jaydan Gladney.
Gladney is the fourth winner of the award that honors the memory of legendary ArkLaTex broadcaster Bob Griffin.
The Vikings linebacker is going to college at Louisiana-Lafayette.
The NFF winners receive a $1,000 scholarship from the foundation to help in their college expenses.
Players must have at least a 3.2 GPA and be an All-District caliber player to qualify.
