Last October, an Air India flight from Mumbai to New York was diverted to Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi after receiving a bomb threat.

The flight, which took off at 2 am, was immediately redirected to New Delhi, where it was grounded. All standard safety protocols were followed to ensure the safety of passengers and crew. Later, it was confirmed that the bomb threat was a hoax.
