The Benton Tigers, Airline Vikings and Haughton Bucs were all winners Friday.
Benton improved to 11-0 with an 18-0 victory over St. Louis Catholic in the first of a three-game series in Lake Charles.
Haughton edged Erath 3-2 at Haughton. The game was part of the Northwood tournament.
Airline defeated Lakeside 4-2 in the Bistineau Classic hosted by Lakeside.
Elsewhere, Parkway fell to Rayne 5-2 in eight innings in the Eunice tournament.
At St. Louis Catholic, Benton scored three in the first and five in the second. The Tigers then added 10 in the top of the third in the three-inning game.
Hayden Millen went 3-for-3 with two RBI. Cole Snell went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI. Griffin Sibley went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI. Kade Bryant went 2-for-2 with three RBI.
Kason Greer went 2-for-2. Colton Birdsong had two RBI.
Thomas Allen pitched a perfect three innings.
The teams are scheduled to play a doubleheader Saturday starting at 11 a.m.
At Lakeside, Airline had eight hits. Austin Smith went 2-for-3. Brock Jordan went 2-for-4 with a double.
Starter Ayden Hawn went 4 1/3 innings for the win. He gave up four hits, struck out five and walked four. Drew Robinson didn’t allow a hit, struck out three and walked none in 2 2/3 innings.
Airline (6-5) is scheduled to begin District 1-5A play Tuesday at home against Evangel Christian.
At Haughton, the Bucs rallied from a 2-0 deficit with two runs in the bottom of the sixth and one in the seventh.
Landon Rolland drove in Case Corkern with the winning run with one out. Rolland went 2-for-3. Christian Turner had a double and two RBI.
Haughton is at home again Saturday against St. Frederick at 1 and Mangham at 6.
Parkway scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth against Rayne and the game went into extra innings tied at two. Rayne scored three in the top of the eighth.
Abel Thetford had two of the Panthers’ three hits, including a double.
Starter Zach Plunkett went 6 1/3 innings. He scattered six hits and allowed no earned runs.
Parkway (3-5) plays Brusly at 11 a.m.
