Vietnam Airlines has selected Network and Planning Optimisation technology from Sabre Corporation as the airline sets its sights on global growth. With plans for international expansion, Vietnam’s flag carrier has recently added routes to the US, Germany, India, Italy, and the Philippines, and is also exploring new destinations across Europe, the US, Canada, Australia, and Asia.
“As we prepare to expand our global network, having the right technology to guide smart, data-driven decisions is essential,” said Nguyen Quang Trung, Director of Corporate Planning and Development at Vietnam Airlines. “Sabre’s Network Planning and Optimisation tools will help us pinpoint profitable routes, create optimized schedules, and stay agile in a dynamic environment – enabling us to deliver greater value for both our passengers and our business.”
Vietnam Airlines has chosen Sabre’s Fleet Manager to match capacity and aircraft type with demand, Profit Manager to accurately forecast and maximise network profitability, Network Manager to achieve hub optimisation and enhanced codeshare planning, and Schedule Manager to deliver revenue-driven schedules across its network. The airline also already distributes its fares and offers through Sabre’s global travel marketplace.
“We’re excited to support Vietnam Airlines to enable their ambitious growth and operational success,” said Rakesh Narayanan, Vice President, Regional General Manager, Asia Pacific, Travel Solutions Airline Sales. “This new agreement underscores the strength of Sabre’s technology in addressing the increasingly complex challenges faced by the world’s top airlines when it comes to creating optimum plans. We look forward to helping Vietnam Airlines to unlock further geographic and revenue growth.”
Singapore Airlines and Salesforce partner on Al-powered customer service apps

Salesforce and Singapore Airlines (SIA) announced that the airline is incorporating Agentforce, Einstein in Service Cloud, and Data Cloud into its customer case management system, enabling it to deliver more consistent and personalised service to its customers. The two companies also plan to co-develop Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions for airlines at the Salesforce AI Research hub in Singapore, aiming to provide greater value and additional benefits to the industry.
SIA will utilise Agentforce, an AI system that deploys autonomous agents to perform specific tasks. This helps to streamline its customer service operations, allowing its customer service representatives to focus on providing enhanced and personalised attention in each customer interaction. Data Cloud, the hyperscale data engine built within Salesforce, powers Agentforce by combining relevant data together, enabling the AI agents to better support the customer service representatives with personalised advice and solutions for the customers.
SIA will also leverage Einstein generative AI capabilities featured inside Service Cloud, to summarise customers’ previous interactions with the Airline. It can also provide guidance on assistance, enabling customer service representatives to better understand and anticipate customer needs and tailor solutions. This will reduce average response times, facilitating more efficient and proactive customer service.
