Clark is no stranger to the AAC, either. Her stardom rose to new heights after her 2023 Final Four run in her junior season at Iowa.
DALLAS — The Dallas Wings announced Wednesday that their June 27 game against the Indiana Fever has been moved to the American Airlines Center, the home of the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars.
The Wings take on WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark and the Fever in their first game outside of their home arena, College Park Center in Arlington, aside from during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. The College Park Center has been the Wings’ home arena since the 2016 season. The team is set to move to the Dallas Memorial Auditorium, which is part of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in downtown Dallas, starting in the 2026 WNBA season.
“We are thrilled to bring WNBA basketball to American Airlines Center for the first time,” Dallas Wings CEO and Managing Partner Greg Bibb said. “Having the best women’s basketball players on the planet playing in a world-class venue such as American Airlines Center is truly fitting. Hosting this game at AAC provides our athletes with the well-deserved opportunity to be showcased in front of a record home crowd. Playing our first game in our future home city of Dallas offers our fans not only a new and unique opportunity to experience the WNBA but also enjoy a preview of what is to come.”
The game will feature three No. 1 overall picks: Dallas’ 2025 No. 1 overall selection, expected to be UConn guard Paige Bueckers, Clark (2024) and the Fever’s 2023 No. 1 overall pick Aliyah Boston.
In February, WFAA and the Wings jointly announced that all Wings games that are not designated for national television will be available for free over-the-air on KFAA (Ch. 29) in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. A select number of games could also air on WFAA (Ch. 8). For more information on how to watch Wings games on KFAA, click here.
The Wings said tickets to the June 27 game would be honored to all Wings season ticketholders. Season ticketholders will also get exclusive presale access to purchase additional tickets beginning on March 24 at 10 a.m. CT. Single-game tickets to the June 27 Fever matchup will go on sale via Ticketmaster on March 26 at 10 a.m. CT.
Single-game tickets for all other Dallas Wings home games, including the May 10 preseason contest against the Toyota Antelopes, will go on sale on April 14, according to team officials.
The Wings have two first round picks and five total selections in the 2025 WNBA Draft. In addition to the No. 1 pick, Dallas also has No. 12, No. 14, No. 27 and No. 31. The 2025 WNBA Draft is slated for April 14 at 6:30 p.m. CT on ESPN.
The Wings’ season opener is May 16 against the 2024 WNBA Finals runner-up, Minnesota Lynx.
