Loganair has selected Avios as the new currency for Loganair Loyalty, which will enable passengers to collect Avios and spend the points across a network of airlines, including British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, Vueling, Qatar Airways, and Finnair.

“The introduction of Avios, alongside our rebrand to Loganair Loyalty, opens a world of new benefits for our customers,” said Luke Lovegrove, chief commercial officer at Loganair. “It marks an exciting step forward, giving our frequent flyers more flexibility and choice in collecting and spending rewards.”

The move follows a recent rebrand of the airline’s loyalty programme, originally named Clan Loganair. All pre-existing customer points will be converted to Avios, and customers will also be able to transfer Avios points between Loganair and British Airways Club accounts.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Loganair as the newest member of our Avios family, offering customers even greater opportunities to collect and spend Avios,” commented Veronica Vicars, Chief Growth Officer at IAG Loyalty. “This is yet another step towards achieving our ambition to make Avios the most flexible and widely accepted travel loyalty currency globally”
