Chinese carrier Hainan Airlines has launched new flights from Lanzhou (LHW) and Yichang (YIH) to Singapore’s Changi Airport.
From 2 January 2025, Hainan Airlines is operating four weekly Lanzhou-Haikou-Singapore and three weekly Yichang-Haikou-Singapore services.
The total travel time between Lanzhou and Singapore is nine hours and 15 minutes, including a two-hour stop in Haikou. The Yichang times are similar.
Hainan is deploying two-class Boeing 737-800 aircraft on these routes, including eight 2-2 configured business class recliners and 162 3-3 configured economy class seats.
Hainan Airlines now operates a total of 14 weekly services at Changi Airport, connecting Singapore to three provinces in China, namely Hainan, Gansu and Hubei.
Separately, from 3 February, Hainan is also adding a weekly Haikou-Tokyo Narita rotation on its 737-800 aircraft.
Moreover, the Chinese airline has added a fifth weekly service between Beijing and Berlin, with its two-class A330-300 widebody aircraft.
Hainan has been making good progress rebuilding its European network in recent months, including the upcoming resumption of flights between Beijing and Oslo in March, and daily flights between Beijing and Manchester this summer.
Mainline Hainan Airlines has a current fleet of 220 aircraft, with more on order, including 100 aircraft from Chinese manufacturer Comac.
