A Southwest Airlines pilot was arrested early Wednesday morning for DUI at Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. Chatham County police confirmed the arrest Wednesday. The flight was delayed for several hours as the airline worked to find another pilot. According to police reports, the arrested pilot was identified as David Allsop, a 52-year-old from New Hampshire. Allsop has been a licensed pilot since 2008. The Employee has been removed from duty. Customers were accommodated on other flights and we apologize for the disruption to their travel plans. There’s nothing more important to Southwest than the Safety of our Employees and Customers.”Reports confirm that David Allsop has already been released from jail after posting bond.
