Trava has surpassed 25 million reservations processed through its GDS-agnostic, no-code travel automation platform since its launch in 2013. The company’s solutions, which automate post-booking processes like refunds and schedule changes, reduce manual workload by over 70% and increase profit margins by an estimated €5 per PNR. Trava’s platform supports both NDC and GDS bookings, allowing travel agencies to streamline operations, enhance customer experience, and drive profitability. The milestone highlights the growing demand for advanced post-booking automation, with Trava positioning itself as a key player in the travel technology sector.
CEO Max Sevastianov emphasized Trava’s commitment to empowering agencies with full post-booking control, while CCO Mathias Olhagen reaffirmed plans to scale the platform further to help agencies improve efficiency and profitability.
A week of strategic moves for AirAsia’s superapp
AirAsia MOVE welcomed SriLankan Airlines as its latest direct airline partner this week. CEO Nadia Omer emphasized that the partnership aligns with AirAsia MOVE’s commitment to providing travel options for its 15 million app users, while SriLankan Airlines’ Country Manager Sharuka Wickrama Adittya highlighted the airline’s strategy to enhance customer service, sales, and market reach through this collaboration.
Beyond SriLankan Airlines, AirAsia MOVE has direct partnerships with airlines such as Citilink, ANA, Air Mauritius, and Etihad, while also offering flights from over 700 carriers. The platform provides a travel ecosystem, allowing users to book flights, hotels, airport transfers, travel insurance, and duty-free shopping.
In another strategic move, AirAsia MOVE has appointed Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio as its new Executive Chairman, succeeding Datuk Kamarudin Meranun. Lefebvre d’Ovidio, known for his leadership in Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group and luxury travel, aims to drive innovation, enhance the user experience, and expand global partnerships. Datuk Kamarudin Meranun remains on the Board of Directors, with Tony Fernandes continuing as a strategic advisor. Lefebvre d’Ovidio expressed enthusiasm about leading AirAsia MOVE into its next growth phase, emphasizing digital transformation, personalization, and global expansion.
Hainan Airlines taps Sabre’s tech to capitalise on international fares
Hainan Airlines has signed a long-term agreement with Sabre Corporation to adopt its Fares Manager and Contract Manager solutions, optimizing international fare management to enhance competitiveness and maximize revenue. Hainan Airlines has been a SKYTRAX 5-Star Airline for 13 consecutive years since 2011 and is actively expanding its global footprint. With Sabre’s technology, the airline will be able to dynamically monitor and adjust fares across its growing international network, ensuring a competitive edge as it resumes existing routes and launches new ones.
Established in 1993, Hainan Airlines continues to expand, recently adding new aircraft and routes. The adoption of Sabre’s Fares Manager brings automation and intelligence to its pricing strategy, streamlining fare structures across all markets.
PKFARE and ZentrumHub unlock access to 650,000+ hotels with AI-powered booking
PKFARE has partnered with ZentrumHub to expand hotel booking access for OTAs, allowing travel sellers to tap into PKFARE’s inventory of over 650,000 hotel properties through ZentrumHub’s API. This collaboration enhances pricing intelligence and AI-driven search capabilities, giving travel agents access to competitive rates with minimal integration efforts.
ZentrumHub, which connects with over 75 hotel suppliers, brings automation to its customer base. Jason Sui, Co-Founder and Senior VP of PKFARE, emphasized that the partnership will simplify the distribution process and create new growth opportunities. Abhinav Sinha, Co-Founder and CEO of ZentrumHub, highlighted how Zentrum Connect will broaden access to PKFARE’s inventory, strengthening both companies’ positions in the global travel market.
