It’s unclear which airline will take over the two gates Alaska Airlines uses at Love Field.

DALLAS — Alaska Airlines is ending service at Dallas Love Field airport, the airline confirmed Tuesday.

Alaska Airlines, which is headquartered near Seattle, Washington, operates a roundtrip flight between Love Field and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport five times weekly. The last day of flights between Dallas Love Field and Seattle is May 14, Alaska Airlines confirmed.

Alaska Airlines said in a statement that it will consolidate operations at DFW Airport.

“DFW is centrally located with easy access to all points across the Dallas Metroplex and allows our guests to connect beyond Dallas to cities in the Midwest and along the East Coast with our codeshare partner American Airlines,” Alaska Airlines said in a statement.

The airline says passengers who bought tickets for flights between Seattle and Love Field after May 14 will be rebooked on flights to and from DFW.

Delta Airlines, Southwest Airlines and Alaska Airlines operate out of Love Field, Alaska Airlines uses two of Love Field’s 20 gates. It’s unclear which airline will use the gates that will be vacated by Alaska Airlines.

Additional information about why Alaska Airlines is leaving Dallas Love Field wasn’t immediately available.

The news of the airline’s departure from Love Field comes more than 10 years after Virgin America, which was acquired by Alaska Airlines, launched service at Love Field in October 2014.
