All Nippon Airways (ANA) is to begin serving plant-based ramen on international first and business class flights.
Called ‘ANA Original Ramen’, these will be introduced as a light meal option starting March 1, 2025.
There are two ramen variants:
On flights departing from Japan: ‘ANA ORIGINAL’ MEGUMINO HOKKAIDO Negi Miso Ramen
The Negi Miso Ramen features a combination of Hokkaido miso and vegetable broth, accented with garlic and ginger. Chewy, medium-thick noodles will accompany the broth, plus a trio of green onions on the side.
On flights departing from Overseas: ‘ANA ORIGINAL’ KAORU FUKUOKA Tonkotsu Style Ramen
The Tonkotsu Style Ramen (pork bone marrow) has a creamy, rich broth, crafted with a sesame paste base and medley of vegetables. Extra-thin noodles combined with traditional Fukuoka toppings of kikurage mushrooms and red ginger to accompany the broth. The flavor can also be modified using ANA’s Ma-Yu style flavored oil.
