Air Astana announced it is expanding its network, launching direct flights from Atyrau International Airport (GUW) in Western Kazakhstan to Tbilisi International Airport (TBS) in Georgia.

The three-times weekly flights will commence on May 27, 2025. While the Kazakhstan flag carrier did not specify what aircraft type it will use on the service, it said that it would be an Airbus plane type.

The launch of the new route will bring the airline’s summer schedule frequency to Tbilisi up to 15 weekly flights, with departures from three cities in Kazakhstan: nine flights per week from Almaty International Airport (ALA) and three weekly flights each from Astana International Airport (NQZ) and Atyrau.

Kazakhstan citizens can stay in Georgia visa-free for up to one year.

The flights, which are set to depart on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, have the following flight schedules:

KC125 to depart Atyrau at 08:00 local time and arrive in Tbilisi at 08:50 local time
