KM Malta Airlines announced Wednesday the launch of a new direct route connecting Malta (MLA) with Istanbul (IST), commencing 2 June 2025.
The route will be operated to iGA Istanbul Airport (IST) by KM Malta Airlines’ Airbus A320neo fleet, with both Business and Economy cabins and a capacity of up to 180 passengers, representing a weekly offer of up to 1,440 return seats.
The route will be code-shared with Turkish Airlines, KM Malta Airlines aid. This strategic expansion will facilitate increased international connectivity for both leisure and business travellers, providing convenient access to Istanbul and beyond. The partnership between KM Malta Airlines and Turkish Airlines will enable connecting trips beyond Istanbul to both domestic and international points on the Turkish Airlines network.
