Southwest Airlines will no longer allow passengers to check their bags for free.
The airline company joins the ranks of American Airlines, United Airlines, Delta Airlines and more who are charging customers more to bring their bags aboard the aircraft.
Previously, Southwest was known for offering customers two free checked bags and two free carry-on bags for each flight. The reversal of this long-held policy will take effect before the summer flying season begins.
