According to Bombardier,
“The revolutionary Bombardier Vision flight deck makes flying the Global 6000 aircraft an exceptional experience. It has business aviation’s most advanced avionics suite, with ergonomics and aesthetics that provide pilots with outstanding comfort and control.”

As a military variant
Bombardier Aerospace shows that the Global 6000 is highly capable for military missions with unique defense attributes,
- The longest maintenance intervals among its competitors
- Best-in-class power generation without modification
- Cooling capabilities for critical mission equipment
- Proven external shapes and modifications including additional antennae, sensors, & radars required for key missions
- Full compliance with all existing CNS/ATM mandates, and capable of steep approach and operating on challenging runways
The aircraft is equally popular with military operations. In 2021, the United States Air Force (USAF) awarded a $464.8 million contract for purchase and modification of six Global 6000 aircraft. The USAF intended to use the modified jets as the Battlefield Airborne Communications Node-equipped E-11A aircraft. Assigned to the Air Combat Command, the aircraft serves as a high-altitude loitering communications node to ground and air forces. The flying platform allows other aircraft and stations the ability for voice communications, including transfer of data, videoos, and images.
