An expanded selection of destinations

Although winter is still months away, the French flag carrier is already planning its 2024-2025 winter season schedule. Air France has launched a new long-haul route between Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG) and Salvador (SSA), the former Brazilian capital. This route marks the fifth destination in Brazil after Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Fortaleza, and Bélem.

Air France’s flights to Salvador (SSA) will start on October 28, 2024, with three weekly flights on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The airline will deploy its fleet of Airbus A350-900 widebody aircraft for this route. These widebodies can accommodate 324 passengers in a three-class cabin configuration. It is worth noting that by 2024, Air France will operate up to 30 flights a week to and from Brazil.

In addition to the Brazilian route, Air France has introduced a new seasonal route to Malé in the Maldives. Starting December 20, 2024, the airline will offer up to two weekly flights on Fridays and Sundays. The French airline will cease operations on this route between CDG and Malé’s Velana International Airport (MLE) at the end of the season on January 5, 2025. Flights will be operated on Airbus A350-900s equipped to accommodate 292 passengers.

To add to this, the French carrier will introduce its fifth destination between CDG and Kiruna (KRN), the northernmost airport in Sweden. The airline will offer one weekly flight on Saturdays starting December 21, 2024, using its Airbus A319 narrowbody aircraft. It is worth noting that this is Air France’s fifth destination in Lapland after Rovaniemi (Finland), Kittilä (Finland), Tromsø (Norway), and Narvik Lofoten (Norway).

Extended winter services across the US

Throughout the 2024-2025 winter season, Air France will expand its service to Denver, Colorado, and Phoenix, Arizona, offering three flights per week to each city. All flights will depart from Paris CDG airport.

Previously, service to Denver International Airport (DEN) was available only in the summer, while the new route to Phoenix Sky Route Harbor International Airport (PHX), set to launch on May 23, will debut in the summer of 2024.

The airline’s fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners is slated for deployment on routes to PHX airport, servicing flights three days a week during the summer season, specifically on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
