There are several ways to earn Emirates Skyward Miles; the first and most obvious is to fly with the Middle Eastern supercarrier. Using our example of a one-way flight from London Heathrow to Dubai once again, here’s how much you’ll earn in miles:
- Economy Promo: 450
- Economy Saver:900
- Economy Flex: 2,250
- Economy Flex Plus: 3,000
- Business Special: 3,300
- Business Saver: 3,750
- Business Flex: 5,250
- Business Flex Plus: 5,700
- First Flex: 7,500
- First Flex Plus: 7,500
Here’s an example of the value of those miles: a round trip from London to Dubai in economy class costs 45,000 miles (22,500 miles each way). Customers must take two first-class trips before earning enough miles for an economy award ticket.
Customers can accrue miles through credit card and banking activities with Emirates. The airline provides co-branded credit cards in critical markets such as the UAE, India, and the US. In its home country, Emirates offers a variety of cards with benefits, including direct Gold status and 100,000 miles upon reaching spending targets. In India, three credit cards are available through ICICI Bank, which offers benefits such as reaching Silver status and receiving 10,000 miles upon signing up.
