Hiking trails, pristine beaches, organic farms and eco-resorts. St Kitts has been increasingly popular as one of the Caribbean’s most unique sustainable destinations, and now the island is getting even easier to reach.
Beginning this winter, American Airlines is doubling its nonstop flights to St Kitts, Caribbean Journal has leaned.
The carrier will be running two flights between Miami and St Kitts’ Robert L Bradshaw International Airport, with the expansion taking effect on Dec. 5.
That comes after American adds extra flights for next month’s upcoming St Kitts Music Festival, one of the Caribbean’s premier music events, which runs from June 27-29 (a festival that now includes the recently-signed Mary J Blige, among others).
American is continuing to run its Charlotte-St Kitts and New York JFK-St Kitts flights through the summer. Those routes will then take a hiatus beginning Aug. 31 and relaunch on Nov. 2.
