HVN to FLL

Tweed-New Haven Regional Airport (HVN) to Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL) is easily Avelo Airlines’ busiest route, exceeding more than 1,100 miles in June 2024. Avelo Airlines has 26 flights with 4,594 seats available in each direction. On the 3 hr 5 min flight, Avelo Airlines has no competition from any other airline.

HVN to RSW

Tweed-New Haven Regional Airport (HVN) to Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW): The flight from New Haven, Connecticut, to Fort Myers, Florida, is Avelo Airlines second-busiest flight over 1,100 miles, with 3,042 seats available in each direction during June 2024. For June 2024, Avelo Airlines operates 18 flights between New England and the Florida Gulf Coast. For the 3-hour 10-minute flight, Avelo Airlines is no competition with any other airline.

CWA to MCO

Central Wisconsin Airport (CWO) to Orlando International Airport (MCO): The flight from Mosinee, Wisconsin, to Orlando, Florida, was Avelo Airlines’ third-busiest route, covering over 1,100 miles in June 2024, with 1,701 seats available in each direction.

For June 2024, Avelo Airlines will operate nine flights between the Midwest and central Florida. On the 3 hr 5 min flight, Avelo Airlines has no non-stop competition. Still, it is possible to fly from Mosinee to Orlando with Delta Air Lines and American Airlines with a change of plane in a connecting city.

Tweed-New Haven Regional Airport (HVN) to Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU): In June 2024, the HVN to SJU route was Avelo Airlines fourth-busiest route over 1,100 miles, with 1,701 seats available in each direction.

For June 2024, Avelo Airlines will operate nine flights between New Haven and Puerto Rico. On the 3 hr 55 min flight, Avelo Airlines has no competition from any other airline.

BUR to BRO

Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) to Brownsville/South Padre Island International Airport (BRO): For the month of June 2024, Avelo Airlines has 1,375 seats available in each direction on the Burbank, California, to Brownsville, Texas route.

This makes the BUR to BRO the airline’s fifth-busiest route of more than 1,100 miles during June 2024. During June 2024, Avelo Airlines will operate nine roundtrip flights. About Avelo Airlines

Avelo Airlines began life as Casino Express Airlines on July 20, 1987, flying passengers on a Boeing 737-200 exclusively for the Red Lion Hotel and Casino in Elko, Nevada. After branching out to fly sports teams and fans wishing to attend away games, the airline changed its name to Xtra Airways on December 8, 2005.

In August 2018, former United Continental Holdings and later Allegiant Air chief operations officer Andrew Levy bought Xtra Airways to transform it from a charter airline to a low-cost carrier. Now called “Avelo Airlines,” the new airline began operating flights from

Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) in California. A few months later, the airline announced that it would open a second base at Tweed-New Haven Regional Airport (HVN) in Connecticut. Avelo Airlines has since expanded its operations, opening bases at the following airports:

  • Orlando International Airport (MCO)
  • Wilmington Airport (ILG)
  • Raleigh–Durham International Airport (RDU)
  • Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport (STS)
