The Airbus A400M is a highly capable military transport aircraft powered by four turboprop engines. The large tactical airlifter possesses oversized lift capabilities and can carry up to 116 troops and cargo (a 37-tonne total payload capacity). Entering operational service with the Royal Air Force (RAF) of the United Kingdom in 2014, the aircraft complements the Hercules and C-17 fleets.

The Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II needs no introduction. It is the most advanced combat aircraft in military aviation. Capable of conducting Short and Vertical Takeoff and Landing (S/VTOL), the RAF’s F-35Bs are capable of speeds up to 2,000 km/h.

The General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon is one of the most popular combat aircraft in military aviation. Tens of countries operate the jets, making them the most exciting sight at air shows globally. The Royal Danish Air Force operated 77 F-16A/B aircraft. The Air Force purchased the aircraft in two major batches, both of which were produced in Europe (Belgium and the Netherlands).

Most of those aircraft, including spares, will be used until at least 2025. The Royal Danish Air Force plans to replace those by the F-35 Joint Strike Fighters. The Embraer C-390 Millennium is a medium-sized military transport aircraft, the heaviest aircraft the Brazilian manufacturer constructed. Designed to carry as many as 80 troops, the aircraft has been marketed as a jet-powered alternative to the popular (but aging) Lockheed C-130.
