According to American personal finance company Nerdwallet, millions of Americans will vacation in Europe this summer. According to a Nerdwallet survey, around 45% of Americans plan to take a trip that requires flying to their preferred destination.
One place seeing a boom in visitors is the Southern European country of Spain. Steeped in history dating back to Phoenician traders, the Romans, and the Moors, Spain has not only miles of sun-kissed Mediterranean beaches and delicious fresh foods but also an infrastructure geared towards tourism.
Six airlines offer non-stop flights between Spain and the USA
With all this in mind, using the information provided by the aviation statistics and data website Cirium, we decided to see which airlines offer direct non-stop flights between the United States and Spain during August 2024.
Currently, six airlines are offering non-stop flights between the United States and Spain this summer, with the vast majority of them arriving and departing from either Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport or Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport (MAD) in Madrid. The exception is United Airlines, which offers a non-stop Boeing 757-200 flight between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Málaga–Costa del Sol Airport (AGP) and Palma Mallorca Airport (PMI).

Iberia
As Spain’s national flag carrier, it is hardly surprising that the International Airlines Group (IAG) owned Iberia offers direct flights between the USA and Spain. For summer 2024, Iberia has 126 non-stop weekly flights to the USA from its primary hub at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport (MAD). For August 2024, Iberia has 1,174,118,524 assigned seat miles between Madrid and the following American Airports:

Not surprisingly, the largest carrier in the United States offers flights from the United States to Barcelona and Madrid.
