In order to take advantage of the offers, passengers need to show their Emirates boarding pass at participating venues along with their photo ID. The boarding pass can be in digital or paper format, but must be dated between November 1st, 2023, and March 31st, 2024. The airline recommends taking a screenshot of any digital boarding passes as they may auto-delete once the fight has arrived.

A wide range of offers

Discounts are available to Emirates passengers at numerous retail and dining establishments, as well as spas and leisure activities across the city. Among the deals available are:

  • 20% off on general admission at the Burj Khalifa, Aquaventure, and The Palm.
  • 30% discount on a luxury super yacht experience with Xclusive Boats Charter or a dune buggy tour with Big Red Adventure Tours.

  • 25% off all body treatments at Mandara Spa, and 30% off all spa treatments 90 minutes or longer at the Sofitel Spa with L’Occitane at the Sofitel Dubai The Palm.
  • Buy one, get one free tickets to the Al Shindagha Museum, where passengers can learn more about the city’s cultural roots and heritage.

It is worth noting that according to the small print on Emirates’ website, although some of the deals represent significant savings, passengers still may need to pay any taxes, fees, and surcharges.

Thanks to Emirates’s extensive operation, there is no shortage of people heading to Dubai. In the year 2022-23, 43.6 million passengers flew with the airline through its hub at Dubai International Airport (DXB).

That said, a significant portion of passengers traveling with Emirates are connecting through Dubai to other destinations. With this promotion, the airline will be hoping to encourage passengers to spend time in the city, and, of course, to spend more money while they are there, benefitting the local economy.

Emirates flies to more than 140 destinations around the world, with a fleet of 267 aircraft. The latest data from ch-aviation shows that the bulk of the airline’s fleet is made up of 123 Boeing 777-300ERs and 119 Airbus A380s, making the airline the world’s largest operator of both aircraft types. Emirates’ fleet is set to grow considerably over the coming years too – earlier this month, the airline placed an order for 90 Boeing 777Xs at the Dubai Airshow.

This is not the first time that Emirates has offered exclusive discounts to passengers by using their boarding pass – the airline ran a similar promotion this summer, and has also done so in previous years. Another way that Emirates passengers can save money is by joining the airline’s loyalty program, known as Skywards, and accumulating miles to spend with participating airline partners, hotels, and attractions.
