New service to Greenland
Airseven has announced a new route from Aalborg, Denmark, to Nuuk, Greenland, that will start in the northern summer season of 2025. The carrier will deploy its Boeing 737-800 aircraft on this route, beginning June 12 until September 1.
The airline has partnered with travel agency Ruby Rejser to plan this service. The aim is to simplify travel to Greenland, which has traditionally been considered somewhat challenging.

As reported by Routes Online, Morten Meyer, bureau manager at Ruby Rejser, explained that traveling to Greenland is usually expensive due to high transportation costs and complex logistics. He added that these challenges often lead to lengthy travel times, deterring travelers from visiting the country.
But given that there’s a global trend of connecting more remote and less accessible destinations with air links, this direct service to Nuuk will see significant demand. This will also help Airseven expand its network while increasing tourism to Greenland.
Making Greenland more accessible
Airseven’s new service is aimed at leisure travelers who wish to explore the country’s natural beauty, business travelers, and those visiting friends and family. There has always been a strong community of travel enthusiasts who wish to visit Greenland but can’t due to high travel costs. Hopefully, Airseven’s new service will help address that issue to some extent.
The nonstop flight from Aalborg to Nuuk will definitely be a step in the right direction toward enhancing accessibility to Greenland by eliminating the need for a stopover for many passengers. It is believed that this service will bring the overall cost of traveling to Greenland down while streamlining the journey to some extent.
About Airseven
Airseven was established in 2020 and started operations a year later, in June 2021. The carrier is a subsidiary of Danish tour operator Primo Tours and primarily focuses on traveling for its parent company as well as for other travel agencies. As reported by ch-aviation, which cites the carrier’s 2023 year-end report, Airseven also flies for other airlines occasionally “as well as ad-hoc charter flights.”
The carrier operates a fleet of three Boeing 737-800 aircraft,
the first of which arrived in December 2022
as a replacement for the older 737-400 planes it was flying. Earlier this year, it was revealed that the charter airline is expecting a 25% production and turnover increase this financial year, as per its 2023 financial report.
The report highlighted several financial figures for 2023, including total costs of around $46.3 million, primarily due to jet fuel (35%), various taxes (18%), and flight-related costs (11%), as reported by ch-aviation.
Airseven’s total income for 2023 was $47 million, and the company expects its capital resources to strengthen, helping it expand further in 2024.
