The Lufthansa Group announced that it is expanding its network reach this winter 2024 with increased flights and resumption of routes.
Starting October 28, 2024, SWISS will improve its connectivity to Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) with daily flights to Geneva Airport (GVA).
Eurowings, another subsidiary of the group, has also increased its services from Berlin to a total of 30 destinations in Europe and the Gulf region in the last six months.
From October 2024, Eurowings will offer direct flights between Berlin Airport and Dubai International Airport (DXB).
The airline will also bolster its aircraft stationed at Berlin Airport to seven, up from its usual six.
Eurowings will also add Jeddah Airport (JED) in Saudi Arabia to its flight schedule in winter 2024, with three weekly flights from Berlin.
The group’s airlines, composed of Austrian, Brussels, Eurowings, Lufthansa and SWISS, currently operate around 27% of all flights at Berlin Airport.
