Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced a new policy offering complimentary domestic flight connections for travelers arriving from North America. The policy, which took effect this week, applies to passengers from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Thailand, with plans to extend the benefit to travelers from several other Asia-Pacific countries later this month.
Under this new offering, travelers can enjoy free domestic flights within Japan when booked with the same reservation as their international journey. Separate bookings for domestic flights will not be eligible for the complimentary offer.
For travelers from the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, the free domestic flight is available as long as their stopover at their initial Japanese destination is under 24 hours. If the stopover exceeds this time frame, passengers will be charged a $100 stopover fee.
This new initiative is expected to enhance the convenience and value of traveling to Japan, allowing visitors to explore more domestic destinations without added costs.
