BBN Airlines Indonesia officially became a new airline flying in Indonesia and has begun serving passengers as of Friday, 27th of September.
According to Adita Irawati, spokesperson for the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation, the airline currently serves the Cengkareng-Surabaya route seven times per week. Moreover, the Cengkareng-Balikpapan route will start operating on 30th September, also seven times per week. The airline will begin the Cengkareng-Denpasar flight starting 2nd October, again seven times per week.
“BBN Airlines has started operating [in Indonesia] since 27th September 2024,” stated Irawati to the press on Sunday, 29th September.
The airline’s official website revealed that BBN Airlines Indonesia is a subsidiary of the Dublin-based Avia Solutions Group. To date, BBN Airlines Indonesia has prepared three Boeing 737-800 aircraft to serve passenger charter requests, as well as three cargo aircraft within the Boeing 737-800 fleet. Additionally, the Boeing 737-400 fleet will serve domestic and international flights. With the available fleet and high demand, BBN Airlines Indonesia aims to operate a fleet of 40 aircraft by 2027.
