Another large company that focuses on charter operations and fractional ownership programs has announced it will expand some of its existing turboprop fractional ownership program. According to Private Jet Card Comparisons, on Friday, October 11th, West Coast Aviation Service announced it will soon introduce an entry-level Beechcraft King Air 350 fractional ownership program. The newly expanded program is set to compete with several other large charter and fractional ownership companies on the West Coast of the United States, especially as Wheels Up recently pulled its turboprop program from the Western United States.

The newly expanded fractional ownership program for turboprop aircraft
The expanded program soon-to-be offered by West Coast Aviation Services will focus on new customers and travelers who are looking to take advantage of the company’s large fleet of Beechcraft King Airs. Currently, West Coast Aviation Services operates a total of 15 Beechcraft King Airs, most of which are either the King Air 350 or the King Air 360 variant, many of which have been manufactured in the past ten years.
According to Private Jet Card Comparisons, this newly expanded program is marketed toward new fractional ownership customers. Specifically, West Coast Aviation Services will offer this program at 1/16th shares per aircraft. These limited number of slots will be divided out into about 37.5 hours of flight time annually. This slot is offered for about $375,000 per share with a monthly management fee that adds up to about $5,000 per month.

Other benefits of this program include the ability to pause maintenance fees for an extended period of time. As West Coast Aviation Services is based in Santa Ana, California, many of its customers fly in the region only part of the year. This benefit allows its members to pause the program while they are living elsewhere. West Coast Aviation Services also allows early exit from the program with no penalty fee.
Last year, Wheels Up, a charter company that offers flights onboard King Airs among other aircraft, announced it was halting its turboprop focused program in the Western United States. Because of this, many charter companies and fractional ownership providers have looked to fill this void with new programs of their own. Besides West Coast Aviation Services, both PlaneSense and SkyShare have announced additional turboprop-focused programs in recent months.
