LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Delta Airlines flight aborts takeoff in Las Vegas due to an engine issue.
According to Delta Airlines, on Oct. 28, flight 777, traveling on an Airbus A330 to Atlanta, was towed back to the gate and deplaned.
Delta Airlines officials say the engine issue was detected as the plane accelerated.
The aircraft was carrying 261 customers and nine crew members. Officials confirm no injuries were reported.
“We are working to reaccommodate customers to their final destination, and we apologize for their delay in their travel.” said Delta Airlines corporate communications.
The FAA says they are aware and investigating the incident.
This marks the second incident reported this month where an aircraft has experienced issues at Harry Reid International Airport.
The cause of the issue is unknown at this time.
This is a developing story. More details will be shared as they become available.
