Newsom says that an agreement between Airlines 4 America and the California Air Resources Board will accelerate the use of sustainable aviation fuels, which will significantly reduce carbon emissions.



CALIFORNIA – California Governor Gavin Newsom announced a first-of-its-kind partnership with airlines and the State of California on sustainable aviation fuels.

According to Newsom, the agreement between Airlines 4 America and the California Air Resources Board will significantly reduce carbon emission by promoting and accelerating the use of sustainable aviation fuels for flights within the State of California.

Officials say that the agreement sets the goal of increasing the availability of sustainable aviation fuel in California by approximately 200 million gallons by the year 2035.
