The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has approved Turkish airline SunExpress to begin regular flight services connecting Muscat, Oman, and Trabzon, Turkey. Starting October 30, 2024, SunExpress will operate two weekly flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays between the two cities.
This new route marks a strategic expansion for SunExpress, a joint venture between Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, aimed at enhancing connectivity for Omani travelers seeking access to Turkey’s stunning Black Sea region. The flights are expected to make travel easier for those eager to explore the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Trabzon, one of Türkiye’s most captivating destinations.
SunExpress’s entry into the Muscat-Trabzon route aligns with the airline’s ongoing commitment to increase flight options within the Middle East. This addition provides Omani travelers with greater convenience and opens up a direct link to Turkey, enhancing tourism, business, and cultural exchange opportunities between the two regions.
