President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov signed a decree imposing a moratorium on registration and issuance of operator certificates to airlines. The press service of the head of state reported.
This decision is aimed at strengthening the national aviation system, as well as increasing its transparency and compliance with international standards.
According to the decree, a ban on the registration of new airlines and issuance of operator certificates to them is imposed until a special order from the president. The State Agency for Civil Aviation has been instructed to conduct an inspection of airlines operating flights outside the country and not basing their aircraft in Kyrgyzstan for more than a month. In case of non-compliance with the requirements, the cancellation of their registration and certificates will be initiated.
The Cabinet of Ministers is obliged to bring its decisions into line with this document and take the necessary measures for its implementation.
