Airline junior wide receiver Kenny Darby has committed to LSU.

Darby committed to Mississippi State in June but he decommitted earlier this month.

He received an offer from LSU last weekend and committed Monday night, according to multiple media reports.

Darby has caught 80 passes for 1,489 yards and 22 touchdowns. Airline (10-0) is the No. 2 seed in the non-select Division I playoffs. The Vikings received a first-round bye.

“I told the coaches from LSU about my decision on Monday night,” Darby told On3’s Chad Simmons. “I committed to LSU because they showed me mad love. The atmosphere and the environment was crazy and the fans always pack the stadium.

“I want to be a part of that and they put wide receivers in the draft every year. They develop receivers and they are WRU. I feel like I can have a lot of success at LSU and I feel like I fit the mode of an LSU wide receiver.”
