A terrifying video from a Scandinavian Airlines flight bound for Miami has gone viral after the plane encountered severe turbulence. The footage shows passengers being thrown from their seats and screaming as the plane shook violently thousands of feet in the air.

The incident occurred over Greenland, prompting the pilots to make a U-turn and return to Europe. In the dramatic clip, bags and food can be seen falling from overhead compartments as the plane trembles.

Due to the extreme turbulence, the flight, which had 254 passengers and crew members onboard, was diverted back to Copenhagen for safety reasons.

The flight, which had departed Stockholm at 12:55 pm, was supposed to land in Miami later that day when it encountered the turbulence. While the shaking was intense, no serious injuries were reported. A Scandinavian Airlines spokesperson confirmed that the plane followed standard safety procedures, and after such turbulence, the aircraft underwent a thorough inspection.

The flight was rerouted to Copenhagen, where technicians assessed the plane for any damage. Passengers were provided hotel accommodations overnight and rebooked on other flights the following day, according to reports.
