Earlier this year, Skytrax, a UK-based consultancy headquartered in London that operates an airline and airport review website, published the results of its Top 100 World’s Best Airports list, with Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur International Airports (KLIA) securing the 68th spot. While it was disappointing that our airports did not make the Top 10, our cabin crew, on the other hand, did.

It has been brought to our attention that the website has released its World’s Best Cabin Crew 2024 Ranking recently. Before we unveil the results, it is important to note that the ranking is based on the front-line customer experience throughout the entire journey with an airline, meaning the data may not be entirely accurate. So, where did Malaysia rank on this list? Let’s find out:

As seen in the screenshots above, the airline that ranked number one for World’s Best Cabin Crew this year is our neighbour, Singapore’s Singapore Airlines, followed by Japan’s ANA All Nippon Airways in second place, and Garuda Indonesia Airlines in third place. So Malaysians, rejoice cause our very own Malaysia Airlines cabin crew managed to secure the Top 10 spot at number 10 on this list!

Our country is right below Qatar Airways at number nine and right above South Korea’s Asiana Airlines at number eleven. The World’s Best Cabin Crew 2024 list was then reshared on Twitter where many expressed their opinions on the ranking. Surprisingly, Malaysians were not upset by the results, with some expressing their satisfaction at being listed in the Top 10. Others pointed out that most, if not all, of the airlines listed in the Top 10 were from Asian countries, with many claiming that they prioritise service and excellence over those from Western countries.

Congratulations to Malaysia Airlines for earning the number 10 spot! Do you agree with this list? Which airline cabin crew do you think deserves a higher ranking?
