ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A Delta Air Lines flight was diverted to Dublin on Wednesday to remove an “unruly customer,” the airline said.
Delta flight 83 was headed from Paris to Atlanta when the customer disrupted the peace. The details of what happened are currently unknown.
“Delta has zero tolerance for unruly behavior and will work with law enforcement authorities to that end,” the airline said in a statement. “We apologize to our customers for the delay in their travel.”
An Garda Síochána, Ireland’s national police force, said they charged a man in his 30s, who will appear at the Dublin District Court at the Criminal Courts of Justice on Wednesday afternoon. The police did not detail his exact charges.
The plane is back in the air and is scheduled to land in Atlanta at 3 p.m.
