The City of Redding and United Airlines announced a new flight connecting Redding Regional Airport (RDD) to Denver International Airport (DEN), beginning May 22, 2025.

Barry Tippin, City Manager with the City of Redding, said, “This flight is a win-win for both residents and visitors. It provides our community with greater connectivity to Denver and the United network while giving travelers a convenient way to experience Redding’s unparalleled outdoor beauty and vibrant urban culture.”

The announcement comes after a unanimous approval by the Redding City Council during their weekly meeting on Tuesday night, Dec. 17. They also agreed to appropriate up to $450,000 from the general fund reserves to close the gap in funding for the required $2 million minimum revenue guarantee.

City officials said the new service is expected to generate significant economic benefits for the area, including millions of dollars annually through tourism, increased business activity and job creation. According to the City, studies indicate that expanded air service plays a critical role in attracting new investment and elevating a community’s profile on a regional and national scale.

Tickets for the new route are now available for purchase at United.com or through United Airlines’ mobile app.
