The ground order was issued around 7 a.m. and lifted a short time later. “Our flight is a little bit delayed by about 20 minutes,” traveler Tawana Thomas said.A spokesperson with CVG told WLWT that nine flights were delayed because of the glitch. Despite some hiccups, most other airlines were smooth sailing. “It is on time. I’m going to Paris first and then a United flight to Mumbai. It’s a long flight, but it should be good,” traveler Saad Ghosn said.Laura Zembrodt of Cincinnati is flying Frontier, heading south to spend time with her family in Florida. Her goal was to make it to Christmas Eve dinner. “It’s very easy. Cincinnati airport is very easy to maneuver, which is ideal,” Zembrodt said.AAA expects air travel to set a new record this holiday season, with 7.85 million passengers choosing to fly. This surpasses last year’s record of 7.5 million.Lots of families are on the move and hoping to make it to their final festive destination. “Just give yourself plenty of time. Just because it was like this today doesn’t mean it always is, but the key is to give yourself plenty of time,” traveler Tonyia Downs said.
