HAECO completes Trent XWB engine build activities

Engineering and maintenance provider, HAECO, has successfully completed a series of Trent XWB engine build activities in Beijing for a major Chinese operator.

The achievement comes ahead of the anticipated increased travel demand leading up to the Lunar New Year festivities.

As a member of the HAECO Group, HAECO Global Engine Support provides round-the-clock on-wing and in-shop engine services through an extensive network across Asia Pacific, the Americas, and Europe.

Corné van Rooij, general manager of HAECO Global Engine Support, said: “Our teams are proud to support our airline customers during one of the most demanding times of the year. These engine build projects not only showcase our technical excellence but also our ability to mobilise quickly and operate effectively in challenging environments, ensuring the operational continuity of our customers’ fleets.”

Working in Beijing’s cold winter conditions, HAECO said its on-wing service team executed rigorous planning and enhanced coordination to ensure smooth progress on the Trent XWB engine builds.

The firm also noted that daily engagement with onsite partners facilitated proactive risk management, helping airlines minimise potential disruptions and optimise fleet readiness for the upcoming travel surge.
